We are located in Melbourne, Florida and offer recreational and competition group baton twirling, dance and rhythmic gymnastics classes throughout South Brevard County.

We believe that kids...should be kids, and strive to make our classes age appropriate fun. And we love lots of smiles!

Star Blazer Teams range in ability from beginner to advance. Here is a little bit about our program.

Recreation Classes

Recreation classes are a 45 minute class offered once a week through the local Recreation Departments. In a combination class the students learn baton twirling, fun jazz-hop dance routines, and rythmic gymnastics. We perform in local events, Melbourne Light Parade, and a recital production in May. Please check out the baton twirling class schedule to find the class best for you.

Competition Teams

These classes are by invitation and/or auditions and require a twirling level beyond the basics, plus a commitment to excel. The teams travel throughout Florida, competing in three to six competitions and events per season, usually from January through May.The group classes range from one hour to an hour and a half and often have extra practices scheduled. Team members are expected to practice and know routines. Participation in a booster club is available and encouraged to help defray competition expenses.

Solo Competition Twirlers

Solo twirlers take private lessons that allow the student to progress in their skills beyond that which a group would typically perform. The soloist usually performs individual events in competitions.

Teaching philosophy:

HAVE FUN: Students have fun while learning to set goals and achieve personal growth in twirling, dancing, posture, gracefulness, flexibility, coordination, balance, and rhythm. Emphasis is placed on “doing your personal best” over winning. Performing empowers the kids with confidense. If a student is improving and doing a better job today than yesterday…then I’m a happy teacher.
